POCO, the smartphone company which would allow its users to enjoy high performance within affordable price, released their next smartphone POCO X2. In 2018, Pocophone F1 was released which destroyed the smartphone market as it gave high-end specs at a lower price. Will POCO X2 live up to the expectations of its brand name?
POCO X2: Display and Design
POCO X2 is the rebranded version of Redmi K30 which was released in China only. It comes with a 6.67″ FHD+ screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate which provides a smoother experience to the users compared to regular 60Hz displays. This is the only phone which comes with a 120Hz refresh rate at this price range. The front and the back have Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which is rare at this price range. The phone weighs 208g which feels a little heavy on the hands. The phone comes primarily into three colors: Atlantis Blue, Matrix Purple, and Pheonix Red.
This phone features a quad rear camera setup consisting of a 64MP camera along with an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth sensor camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The 64MP camera features a Sony IMX686 sensor paired with a 1.64 µm pixel pitch and an f/1.89 aperture lens. For high-quality selfies, this phone has a 20MP camera along with a 2MP depth sensor on the front side in a dual Punch-in setup. This setup allows users to take high-quality videography and photography shots.
This phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset which is an Octa-core processor. Along with Adreno 618 which would allow users to play any heavy game on it. This processor also allows you to take RAW images and photo editing easily. The phone also comes with the 4500mAh battery and fast charging of 27W along with a 27W charger. There are multiple variants of this phone available on the market from 6GB/64GB to 8GB/256GB. The 6GB RAM/128GB variant is best in class under the ₹20,000 price bracket.
Our Thoughts on POCO X2
POCO released its next phone after two years and it is an almost perfect phone for a price under ₹20000. It is priced at ₹17,499 for 6GB/64GB variant and goes up to ₹21,499 for 8GB/256GB variant. Its camera performance and gaming with a 120Hz refresh rate is best for its price. It gets tough competitions from Motorola Fusion One+ and Samsung M31s. But it came on top of our list because of its overall performance in terms of camera, processor, and display. But if you are looking for a lightweight phone and for one-handed use then it is not suitable for you.
