Oneplus might be planning to launch its all-new TWS (True Wireless Stereo) earphones alongside its upcoming launch of the much anticipated Oneplus Nord. The tease came about in a tweet made by both official @oneplus and @OnePlus_IN. The tweet does not clearly mention TWS earbuds but it does suggest a new possible Bullets’ successor and looking at the emerging trend with other competitors it’s highly unlikely that Oneplus would disappoint us with another “weird wired wireless hybrid” (Oneplus Bullets users know the pain).
Another source talked about a possible listing going live on the subscription list of Amazon India with the name of Oneplus TWS. It’s still to see if Oneplus will actually go with the name Oneplus TWS or will it stick with their bullet tradition. We hope for the latter to be true, honestly writing TWS on the product name doesn’t feel like Oneplus’ style but that’s just my opinion. How do you think Oneplus will go about naming their first True Wireless Stereo earbuds? Let us know in the comments section.
The earbuds are expected to have features like individual battery levels for both the earbuds and touch controls to control music playback and volume. There’s no news about it having fast charging or not yet. The design of the earbuds is much similar to the leaks going around for the past two months.
These earbuds will be a direct competitor to the likes of Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 and Realme Buds Air. We will see how Oneplus price it in such a competitive market space. We’ve seen Oneplus charge lucratively for their hardware as compared to the competition in the past but all these are still rumours. We would love for Oneplus to come back to their roots and price these buds the old way.
